Day 1

On arrival at King Shaka International Airport, Durban, you will be met and transferred via road to Thanda Private Game Reserve. Depending on your arrival time, check in and have some time to relax and enjoy lunch. In the late afternoon set off on your first game drive.

Once you are back at the lodge dinner will be served.

Day 2

An early morning departure for your first game activity of the day. Once you are back at the lodge, enjoy a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing, either in communal areas at the lodge, or in the privacy of your own suite. A game drive sets out again in the last afternoon

Day 3

Sunrise indicates the start of your morning. Once you are back at the lodge, after your morning game drive, a bush walk with a specialist walking guide is also on offer. These are informative walks, showing you the smaller inhabitants of the reserve which you generally don’t see on game drives.

Day 4

After your morning game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred via road to the border post between South Africa and Mozambique. Once you have gone through the border you will be collected and transferred through to White Pearl Resort on the Mozambican coast. Dependent on your arrival time, enjoy lunch and spend the rest of the day settling into the lodge

Day 5

Shoreline fishing, surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and snorkling are a few of the activites on offer at the lodge. These are all included in the rate and can be enjoyed over the next few days.

Day 6

This package is based on a four night stay at White Pearl and this also includes the following activities: Guided lake walk with sundowners, a back, neck and shoulder massage (30 min), Turtle walk (seasonal Nov – Feb), ocean safari (includes whale watching Nov – Feb) and a Maputo Special Reserve Trip.
