The stunning Victoria Falls are one of the more favorable things about this beautiful country that has put them on the world map.  World renowned and a stunning source of natural power the falls attract visitors in their millions every year.  But the falls are by no means the only attraction in Zimbabwe.  The stunning Lake Kariba and the popular park, Mana Pools and the Eastern Highlands provide adventure and enchantment for every visitor.

Best Time to Visit: April/May and August/September. 

Language:  English, Shona and Sindabele are the most commonly spoken languages with English being the official language

Currency:  Having abandoned its own currency, the Z$, now US dollars are most widely accepted.

Entry requirements: Travellers from the UK, USA and Germany can acquire a visa upon payment at the border. 

Malaria Advice: It is recommended that one take an anti-malaria prophylactic if visiting Zimbabwe as the disease is common throughout the country

Tipping: A service charge is usually included in the bill, otherwise a 10% tip is customary. In general tipping for good service is discretionary. Tour guides and game rangers depend largely on tips for their income and ranges from US$5 to US$10 per person per day.
