Looking for somewhere to eat that has fine dining and mind-blowing food? Late last year the winners of the Eat Out Mercedes Benz Restaurant Awards were announced and the top 10 restaurants in South Africa for 2014 were revealed.

We have put together a sampling of the top five for you:

1. The Test Kitchen - (Woodstock, Cape Town)
Coming in at number one for the third year in a row, it’s no wonder that you will have to endure a month-long wait to get a table. Chef Luke Dale-Roberts will, however, be sure to make that wait worth your while. The Test Kitchen makes culinary excellence seem effortless and is featured on the list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

2. Five Hundred - (Sandton, Johannesburg)
Delicious food paired with outstanding presentation and a touch of class. Sophistication and elegance only seek to elevate the individually highlighted flavours expertly chosen by chef David Higgs. Five Hundred will take your taste experience to the next level of bliss.

3. The Tasting Room - (Franschoek, Western Cape)
Showcasing a unique African menu and impeccable service. The creativity of chef Margot Janse will surely keep you on the edge of your seat. Visually stunning meals that are both playful and innovative are a stark contrast to the understated ambience that is The Tasting Room.

4. Mosaic - (Elandsfontein, Pretoria)
The flamboyant floral themes of chef Chantel Dartnall will surely elate your senses. You will be surrounded by art nouveau opulence and offered an unparalleled selection of wines, by Sommelier Germain Lehodey, to pair with your delectable dishes.

5. Jordan - (Stellenbosch, Western Cape)
Chef George Jardine masterfully combines magnificent flavours and textures to create meals that are invitingly unostentatious, yet captivatingly appetizing. The understated environ has spectacular views and friendly staff that can’t help but put you at ease while leaving a lasting impression of expertise.

Where would you eat first?
